Everyone Here Is Weirder Than We Are

I think the first Band of Susans record was mailed to every zine in existence back in the 80's. I don't remember what sort of review I gave it, although if I bothered to write one it was probably something along the lines of "this sucks", since that's what I wrote most of the time anyway. I guess the big deal here (besides being released on White Flag's label) was that there were three guitars in the band, like this was supposed to be a Glenn Branca no-wave type thing, although it looks more like a Lone Justice record so it's kind of hard to tell. Of course everybody knows that the guy from Helmet joined the band later on, although he left once he realized they weren't going to be on "Beavis & Butthead" anytime soon. Robert Poss later went on to play with Bruce Springsteen, Icehouse, and Aldo Nova, although he's better known as one of the stand-ins for the touring version of the third Broadway revival of "Beatlemania!". What sucks now is that I've got this shitty-looking pink record stuck at the top of the page for the rest of fucking eternity, or at least until I post another update, which could be a while.

The band's follow up record, Love Agenda, was fantastic. Their cover of the Stones "Child of the Moon" rivals the original.

I gotta admit that I've never heard anything of theirs past this album. As well as I never thought anybody would actually read this post.
