You Gotta Sleep Sometime And That's When I'll Set The Fire

A split of two Australian bands (actually one's not-so-Australian, that's just a lame joke) doing Halo of Flies covers... neither one can touch the original, but Vertigo does way better than their miserable Crime cover, at least... Cosmic Psychos rule in general, I wish I owned more of their records.

Vertigo -

"You Get Nothing"

Cosmic Psychos -

"Garbage Rock"

Cosmic Psychos!

Yes, their records seem to be rare in North America, except for the 'Go The Hack' re-release and the Man's Ruin 7"...

Cheers

I've got "Down on the Farm" and this single, and I think that's it...

Some fine work here, I've managed to pick up most of the Cosmic Psychos stuff along the wall and most of it is excellent. Although less spectacular I've always had a soft spot for Vertigo, they managed to 'not do justice to' covers, 'Murder by Guitar' as you mentioned, Minutemen's 'Cut' wasn't up to much, nor Husker Du's 'Masochism World'. I seem to recall Scientists and Flesheaters covers too, I kinda liked their version of Hawkwind's ' Master of The Universe' though.
Cheers VV
