If you're from around here, chances are you've passed over this single in the dollar bin more than a few times, which is exactly what I did before buying it eventually (hey, what's a buck, right?). Just now I happened to be sitting here, thinking "gee, it's been a while since I've posted an old Connecticut 7-incher", and, reaching down into one of my crates of CT singles, I came up with this. Well, actually I pulled out an Orange Cake Mix record first, but it was one of the lousy ones so I put it back. Hey, they can't all be home runs. As for Gunk, this is probably what Give sounds like, or what you'd imagine one of Mike Gitter's crappy late-'80s Dag Nasty-influenced bands sounded like, or Ignition maybe. Watch, someone's going to come on here and tell me that I know one of these guys and then I'm going to feel bad for giving his shitty band a hard time (although probably not, nobody leaves comments on Blogger anymore). Thankfully when people go back and steal layout ideas from '90s record sleeves this isn't one of the records they're stealing from, although I think I own a Far Cry record that looks just like this one. Supposedly there's a whole LP of this stuff floating around, what a terrible thought that is.
