Yet another 7"-er that I bought back in the mid-90's mostly because the packaging was cool, plus I figured any band named after Pittsburgh Pirates hurler Dock Ellis oughta be worth listening to at least once (Ellis, somewhat famously, once threw a no-hitter while tripping on acid, and then another time tried to hit every batter in the Cincinnati Reds' line-up, getting as far as plunking the first three before being pulled from the game).
And while it's definitely a relic from the grunge era, this is still a serviceable record. I'll give the Stich side a pass for now and say that the Dock Ellis song, "When I'm Waiting", is pretty good, even if the band did have their whole career to write it (their newly-minted MySpace reads, "Dock Ellis: 1991-1995"). Plus Dock Ellis show admirable restraint by holding back the guitar solo until almost four minutes into a five-minute song (yes, 5:00!!). I mean, you could most likely fit the entire Jackshit discography on a five-minute record and still have time left over, but then the sleeve probably wouldn't be as nice.

Grunge, yes. Definitely some Tad guitar swirls going on in there.
Some Screaming Trees too, yes. Ah, but did you get through all 5 minutes of it?
Actually, no. I have to confess.
My attention span is in a thousand pieces right now. I cannot even concentrate enough to smoke an entire cigarette down to the butt.
Whatever happened to the Supertouch thing you were going to do?
Patience, Jim. You know I'm slow!... but it's on the list.
ALthough I do have a good amount of the mechanical work done, which is a plus. With the pages you scanned, it's gonna be awesome.
The mp3 file on this post is now a listen-only (non-downloadable) file. TOUGH SHIT, HIPPIE! No, I will not entertain any requests for the original file. NOW you're just being stupid.
By the way, Jim, the Supertouch thing is now up, in two parts. Happy now??? Christ.
