I Don't Give A Fuck About Your Scrapes And Bruises

Even though I'm a big Replacements fan, "Tim" is far from my favorite album ever, which doesn't mean that other people can't like it, I guess. Dunno if Kintaro are fond of "Tim", either, but there's something about the sound of the riff in "Scuzdaddy" that reminds me a lot of "Bastards of Young". Replacements enough for ya, plus it's on clear vinyl, which is my favorite color vinyl by the way. A pretty good record in any case, meaning these guys've probably broken up by now.

That reminds me of a 'mats interview I read years ago where Westerberg was asked if he would do a "solo album" and one of his bandmates replied "they're ALL his solo albums".

TIM is definitely a Westerberg album. I'm a sucker for "On The Bus", though.

I've eventually come to terms with all the Replacements albums to where I can pretty much tolerate all of them now, but for a while "Pleased" was the only post-T/T album I could stand to listen to.

You could take all of Westerberg's solo releases and make one really fantastic album out of them.

The mp3 files on this post are now listen-only (non-downloadable) files. They are now being hosted on my Vox page (accessible through any of the above listen-only links), along with the two other songs from the record.

For those of you who missed the boat, I will do my best to respond to any e-mailed requests for the original files.
