I got my Closet Fairies tape in the mail this past weekend as part of the Spent Planet Cassingles club (25 subscribers only!! Wicked Dopey!!), and that reminded me that I haven't posted any Closet Fairies yet. So, here's the first Closet Fairies 7", which is sorta out of print by now, plus you can download files (that don't work) from Spent Planet's own blog, so I'm sure it's okay for me to post this here.
This is some hot shit hopped-up garage punk, any way you want to look at it. Figure Cheap Time without the roughed-up vocals, add in some Chinese Telephones, and your ears should be pointed in the right direction. There's even a hidden bonus track, "Wooden Nickels", which appears on the end of the b-side after about a minute's worth of silent grooves. Kinda funny and dumb at the same time, once you think about it.

Here's something else that I just got yesterday, a new Lord Spent track, and it's pretty fucking great. I'm starting to think that Matt Spent shares a lot of the same esthetic across different genres that Stefan Christ (Estrogen Highs/Permanent Feels/Sudden Walks) has. I haven't gotten around to checking out the Maine Coons tape yet, but it's on the list. Anyway, "Skinhead Fondue" blasts cool knowledge just like Medication, thus I like it a lot. Spin it once, and see what you think.

The mp3 files on this post are now listen-only (non-downloadable) files. TOUGH LUCK, HIPPIE! No, actually, for those of you who missed the boat, I will do my best to respond to any e-mailed requests for the original files.
